Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Angang Steel Group has announced that it has won a tender to supply 9% nickel steel plate to the liquefied natural gas project of China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomoous Region in southern China.

Accordingly,Anteel will supply over 4200 mt of the steel plate in question for application in LNG storage tanks.Ansteel has developed 9% nickel, 5% nickel steel, with the maximum thickness of its 9% nickel steel plate reaching 40mm.

Since 2011,Ansteel has supplied 2386 mt of 5% nickel steel plate in a thickness rang of 10-55 mm to Nantong Pacific Ocean Engineering Co. To date, the company has also supplied 1665mt of 9% nickel steel plate to Sinopec's LNG project in Tangshan.
